Daniel Jonathan aka Dan Stevens is an English actor. He was born on 10th of October in the year 1982. His birthplace was Croydon in the United Kingdom. Dan was an adopted child of his parents and they were teachers. He lived in Wales and Southeast England. He had a younger adopted brother. He developed an interest in plays after he had auditioned for the lead role in the movie Macbeth along his novelist cum teacher, Jonathan Smith.

At the age of 15, he did training and performed several times at the National Youth Theatre during his summer holidays. Coming to his studies, he was an alumnus of Emmanuel College in Cambridge. In Kent, he achieved a scholarship in an independent school at the Tonbridge School. He has been a member of the Footlights with Tim Key, Stefan Golaszewski, and Mark Watson in Cambridge.

He had an active participation in the Marlowe Society. He was noticed by Peter Hall, a director on the sets of Macbeth going on at the Marlowe Society of Production. He had co-starred with Peter Hall’s daughter. Coming to his career, he started his career in acting. A director, Peter Hall featured him in As You Like It for the role of Orlando. The picture was a Shakespeare’s Production. It journeyed to the New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music, Rose Theatre in Kingston, San Francisco’s Curran Theatre, and Los Angeles Ahmanson Theatre. He had received applause from the famous critics. He was forwarded by the critics to the Ian Charleson Awards.
