Erica Durance

Erica Durance is a Canadian actress, director, and producer. Born to Gail and Joel Durance, she was raised with her two siblings (brother and sister) in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. She was trained as a classical singer from childhood. After graduating in 1999, she went to pursue her interest in professional acting. She began her career with commercials and guest appearances in serials and movies like The Collector, Tru Calling. She made her feature film debut in 2002 movie The Untold. In 2004, She first gained fame when she got the role of Lois Lane in the popular series Smallville. It was a guest role but after seeing her performance, her role was made a permanent character of the series. Along with starring in Smallville, she also appeared in some films like The Butterfly Effect 2, Island Heat: Stranded. In 2007, she acted in a movie called ‘I Wed Me’ in which she played the role of Isabel Darden who got married to herself. In January 2012, she guest-starred in the NBC TV series “Harry’s Law”.

In 2012, we also saw Durance having a cameo in “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie.” After seven years, in 2011, her role comes to an end in Smallville. In 2012, Durance began to play the lead role in a medical drama series called Saving Hope. She has been married twice. She got married to Wesley Parker in 1996. Their marriage falls within three years. In April 2001, she began dating David Palffy. They exchanged vows in 2005. She also has a teenage stepson from David’s previous relationship. In February 2015, she gave birth to her first child(boy). She has been ranked in the ‘100 sexiest women in the world‘ by FHM. In 2015, she starred in a thriller named ‘Painkillers’.
