Chitra was the Veteran actress of the Hindi film industry. She was a prominent B-grade film actress of the 50s and 60s. Chitra's real name was Afsar Unisa Begum. She was born in Hyderabad in a Muslim family. She initiated his career from the film 'Maan' in 1954. She performed in numerous Hindi films of the 1950s, including 'Zindagi Ke Mele', which was directed by VK Lal. She also acted in the film 'Zimbo' which was India's first colored film.
