Vinodhini is an Indian film actress. She has worked in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films. She started her career as a child actress and then went on playing as lead and supporting roles in Television series. In Kannada films, she was credited as Shwetha.
As a child actor, she did films including Puthiya Sagaptham, Manal Kayiru, and Mannukkul Vairam. In 1992, she did a Tamil movie, Vanna Vanna Pookkal, which was directed by

. Vanna Vanna Pookkal was a commercial hit and ran for continuous 100 days at the theater, but it failed to prosper Vinodhini's career. The same year she also debuted in Malayalam film industry with Soorya Manasam and in Kannada film, Chaitrada Preman.
With Chaitrada Preman, she penned her name to Shwetha. Soon she shifted her focus only to Kannada films. She has also hosted a Television show for eight years. In 2005, she returned to Malayalam film industry with a supporting role in Kasthuri Maan.
