Plot

After Caesar’s death, the apes formed various clans. Noa, a chimpanzee belongs to an eagle clan. He collects eagles’ eggs with Soona and Anaya, his friends. To his shock, a human cracks an egg, which Noa collects. So, he decides to find the person who cracked the egg and heads to the city. After learning some interesting things from the city, Noa returns to his home, but can only see his father’s death. He searches for the rest of his family. Meanwhile, his friends, too, miss their family. Soon, all are trapped and taken to a camp. What happened next? Who did they meet at the camp? Did they make a good relationship with humans? The rest of the film speaks about this.

Star Performance

The voice actors have done an amazing job. The rest of the stars who appeared on screen did decent work.

Analysis

The film starts with a new story focusing on Noa, which gives a new dimension to the franchise of Planet Of The Apes. The production value of the film is excellent and the film is technically strong. The CG works, which form the major part of the film, are impressive and make the audience feel that they travel to the Kingdom of Apes. The film has a good aesthetic look with tiny facial expressions and the body language of the apes, and the scenes where the film travels through deep woods. Obviously most of the scenes are related to the woods; however, we have to pinpoint the ones that are visually pleasing. The lush greens and old skyscrapers are shown with enough details and that show how the technical team put in their hard work. However, the narration lacks some depth. Some parts of the story are not explained clearly.

What’s There?

  • Good CG works with visually impressive scenes

What’s Not There?

  • The narration should have been better

Verdict

Though there are some shortcomings, the film is an overall treat the fans of the Planet of Apes franchise. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes – Watchable!
