. The film is inspired by a 2014 short film of the same name. Wyatt Russell plays Ray Waller and Kerry Condon plays Eve Waller, who were the couple that moved into the so-called haunted house. Plot
The scenes open in 1992, Rebecca Summers, a young girl goes to the pool in her backyard to retrieve a toy boat that belongs to her brother, Tommy. Tommy was terminally ill and therefore his sister wanted to give him the toy. But while she tries to get the toy she falls in the pool and something drags her under the water. The timeline skips to the present day, the Waller is seeking to find a new house to shift. Ray was forced to retire from baseball due to his spinal disorder. As the doctor has prescribed Mr. Ray to swim often for a speedy recovery, the family decided to buy the house with the swimming pool that we discussed at the start of the movie, unknowing of the secrets that the pool possesses.Â
Star PerformerÂ
Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amelie Hoeferle, and Gavin Warren’s performances were very expressive and well crafted as a family. Their performance portrays fear, spookiness, and chills, giving the film a mysterious feel. Not only them, but the whole cast contributed to their roles and characters quite well. The filmmakers including, the cameraman, cinematographers, editing, and sound person’s effort were on point. However, the dialogue and the script could be a little better.Â
Analysis
The horror movie revolves around a mysterious swimming pool. The first few minutes start slow and then the suspension begins to build up during the rest of the film, but after the first frightful event, everything feels like a stretch. Because of that, it feels more suited to being a short film. There aren’t many jump scares, but the suspense is sustained until the end. The film flowed like water from one scene into another, and so on, right to the end. If you are fascinated by water, that is what might be lurking in the deep. One note story, the backstory had been expanded upon, it would've been so much better. The movie is not a horror, but it succeeds at entertaining and engaging its viewers throughout the film.

Analysis
In conclusion, it is a good and enjoyable supernatural movie. It’s a good free movie if you’re bored and want something new to watch, then the movie serves the purpose. The movie is average for a good movie night.Â
