Plot

Sing is the musical film with animals in the lead roles. To restore his theater, a Koala decides to organize a music competition. The contestants for the competition are a pig, who is the mother of 25 kids, a gorilla, a hedgehog and an elephant. An Iguana plays the assistant to the Koala. The Koala fixed the prize money of $1000, but his assistant printed the fliers with $100000 prize money. However, Koala maintains silence, after seeing the flier. Who wins the singing competition? Was the competition, a success one? Did the Koala retain its theater? To get the answers to these questions, Garth Jennings designed the rest of the film.

Star Performances

As this is an animated film, we could not classify the performances. Yet, the expressions from the animated characters are fantastic. Besides this, the voice over by the artists is stunningly good. Matthew McConaughey’s voice to the Koala perfectly synched with it. Reese Witherspoon’s voice for Rosita, the stay at home piggy mom, is quite impressive.

Analysis

Garth Jennings has tried out to bring a film in the sequence of Finding Dory Click to look into! >> Read More... and “ Zootopia Click to look into! >> Read More... .” However, we could not conclude it as a success flick. Right from the audition track, the director tries to impress the audiences. With 85 songs the film runs for 110 minutes.

Not impressive like the animated films such as Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Zootopia or The Secret Life of Pets.

Verdict
It has received the mixed reviews from the audiences. As it is the musical film, only the music lovers might find it interesting. If you are an animated film watcher, you could give a try.
