Lost is an American TV drama series aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). It is a story about a group of 40 stranded people on an unknown island in South Pacific Ocean due to their flight crash. The group has to face multiple odds like the smoking ghost, polar bear and The Others to survive. Jack is the leader of the group as he helps in finding the crash survivors. He is also a doctor. The other main characters of the serial are Kate, Charlie, James, Juliet, Desmond, Sayid, Benjamin, Hugo, etc.

Continuing the action and adventure of Lost from season 1, where the group was introduced to the harsh supernatural condition of the island and Season 2 when the Hatch was discovered. Season 3 is about the meeting with the Others. The Others are the natural inhabitants of the island who live in good houses, have lots of food and don’t want to be bothered. And, they also can’t get pregnant due to some unknown reasons. The 3rd season starts with ambushed Jack, Kate and Soyer caged in an abandoned dorm station where others experimented on polar bears.

Here, Jack meets an other, named Juliet who has been with the Others to find out why all the pregnant women on the island are dying. In the flashback, Juliet tells Ben (leader of the Others) he has cancer and needs surgery. Ben knows that Jack is the doctor, so he tells him to operate on him to remove cancer. In return, Jack asks Ben to free Kate and Sawyer. Kate and Sawyer go free. On the island, Jack and Juliet grew closer. Ben tells them they can leave the island. Kate, Locke and Sayid come back for Jack but are astonished to find that he is living happily with Others.

Kate gets caught up by the Others. Jack once again rescues Kate and reunite the group, bringing with him Juliet. Juliet is not initially believed in the group as everyone thinks she is one of the Others. Juliet tells everyone that the Others are coming. Survivors ambush the Others. Most of them are blown off. Sayid tries to call home, but Ben blocks all the signals through an underwater chamber, the looking glass. Charlie volunteers in to switch off the button in the glass chamber.

Fast forwarding, the season ends with the scene showing a depressing life of Jack after he comes back home. He meets Kate and says – “We have to go back to island”. So, there you have an end to season 3, leaving behind an intriguing beginning for season 4. Altogether, season 3 is like every other season, survival of the crash survivors on the island. But, it indeed unfolds mysteries such as the glass chamber, why the smoking ghost could do no harm to the Others? Packed up with action, adventure, mysteries and emotions, Lost puts together a good show.
