100% De Dana Dan was a public television wrestling show aired on Colors TV in the year 2009. It was a hybrid between reality TV show and wrestling. The fights were on the principles of Lucha Libre (i.e., 100% freestyle without any specific rules attached) and presented as a reality show in the presence of a live audience.
Worldwide Wrestling Professionals (WWP) trained many Indian wrestlers. They held a search in Mumbai to identify some athletes who were to be trained for the show. Famous professional wrestlers like Tornado, Jason Steele and Ananzi were part of this team among others. 13 Indian wrestlers were selected who were supposed to fight with 13 South African wrestlers. Indian wrestlers were Kumbang, Ganya Zoker, Sando Paji, Thakur, Sangram Singh, Jack Attack, Danger Anna, Badshah Khan and Jogia etc. pitted against 13 foreign wrestlers Ananzi, Blacksmith, Tornado, Jason Steele, Devon Shooter, Nightmare, Kilimanjaro, etc. Isha Koppikar, the famous Bollywood Actress was the anchor of the show and Sharat Saxena, another Bollywood Star and boxer was given the responsibility for managing the Indian wrestlers. Noted wrestler of yesteryear Dara Singh was the mentor of the enthusiastic squad. The show tried to show the professionalism of the foreign wrestlers and established beyond doubt that wisdom is more important in wrestling than sheer power. Tornado became the 100% Heavy weight champion in the second show and retained his title throughout until dethroned by much heavier competitor Goonga in the final episode.
The show was telecasted on Colors TV from August 29, 2009 and after telecasting 26 episodes, ended on December 20, 2009.
