As the original name of this show suggests, the story revolves around two Pakistani sisters, Akbari and Asghari, who have spent their whole lives abroad with their parents and never saw Pakistan.

Their taxi driver father, Hatim, values his eastern culture to the fullest and wants his daughters to inherit eastern values. In contrast, Kalsoom, Hatim's wife, tends to western culture and prefers her daughters to be modern. This clash of the eastern and western and Kalsoom bragging of being rich to her peers will surely make you giggle. Akbari, the favorite child of Hatim, is a girl who always wants to be in the right books of his father but still does all sorts of things that she loves, but her father disagrees. On the other hand, Asghari, unlike her sister, is not a dual character and does all sorts of things publicly that make her father detach from her slowly.

Karim Fazal Choudhary (KFC), the father of Hatim, wants to get Hatim's daughters Akbari and Asghari married to Hatim's relatives Akbar and Asghar so that he could see his lost family again. Asghari at the spot refuses the marriage proposal with Asghar, whereas Akbari agrees to marry Akbar to be just in her father's good books though she loved a Christian boy, Roger. Akbari escapes from home only to find Roger is cheating on her and is already married. Heartbroken, Kalsoom brings her back home and makes her agree to marry Akbar. Whereas in Pakistan, Akbar refuses to marry Akbari because, being a religious person himself, he expected the same from his wife and thinks his cousins are extra modern.

Instead of Akbar, his brother Asghar agrees to marry Akbari, as he thinks Akbari belongs to a wealthy family and owns a lot of wealth in Pakistan. After a lot of confusion and tension with Asghar's girlfriend Shabbo, he finally gets married to Akbari. After the marriage, Hatim has a heart attack, so KFC tells him to take Akbar to America so that he can take care of his work. Akbar gets shocked to see that the family is poor, and they show that they are rich. In America, Akbar slowly becomes friends with Asghari but her western attitude troubles Akbar. Akbar's peer (religious figure) suggests the only way save Asghari is to marry her.

On the other hand, Akbari convinces Asghari that her in-laws mistreated her. Hearing this, Asghari agrees to marry Akbar so that she can help her sister to get out of her troubles. Akbar and Asghari are married, and slowly over time, despite differences, they soon start to like each other but do not realize it. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Akbar's peer is a fraud, and Akbar is not aware of that. Asghari sets a plan and goes to his peer to show Akbar the truth. On seeing her beauty, he calls her to meet him at night. Meanwhile, Akbari discovers Asghar and Shabbo's past, and despite their differences, Akbari is deeply hurt. Asghar also wants to get out of Shabbo's blackmail as he falls for his wife.

At last, Asghar's mother helps Asghar get out of this trouble. Asghar then apologizes to Akbari and confesses his love, to which she replies the same. Asghari also is saved by her husband. Akbar finally realizes the truth about his peer and decides to lead a happy married life.
