The story revolves around the life of Rusty Deol (played by Saumya Tandon Saumya Tandon is a popular Indian tv host and actr >> Read More... ), who came from the upper-middle class white family who lives in England. She is the only daughter of John and Linda (played by Soni Razdan She is an actress as well as a film director. She >> Read More... ). Her mother and her drunkard father got divorced so she lives alone. Since her childhood, she always dreams of being associated with India in some or the other way. Until one day, Rusty found out that John is not her real father and she is a half-Indian. Her mother was married to the Sikh, Randheer Deol (played by Kanwaljit Singh Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ) and she is their daughter. But their marriage was rotten and her real father asked Linda to raise their daughter without letting her know that she is actually an Indian.

But as she grows, Rusty was curiously drawn to many aspects of the Indian culture even if she lives in London. She was mesmerized by the Indian music, the scent of the spices, the Indian clothes and dresses and everything appears to have some meanings to her but she was unable to explain the reason why. Later on, Rusty decided to go to Punjab and look for some answers to the ancient pull that she have inside. From the very sensible state of mind that she bears, Punjab and its entire people appears to be unreal and candid in their selfishness and hatreds. She soon finds her family, but initially, she did not reveal the truth about her since she doesn’t want to create any conflicts between her real father and his wife, Mathura Deol (played by Dolly Minhas Dolly Minhas an Indian model and actress was born >> Read More... ). Later on, the truth was revealed to the Deols. She acquired not only the anger of the family, but also the clashes and pains, their anguish, hopes and also their dreams. However, Rusty managed to hang to their hearts and everyone falls in love with her except for her step-mother. Mathura hated her and pretends to be kind to her, but in reality she wanted to punish Rusty by throwing her out of their house.

Things start to fall and she faces many trials and ordeals. But as the story goes, she managed to establish love for herself and the entire family, including her stepmother.
