It is an exhilarating story of a poignant relationship between two virtuous souls that is based on the most fundamental feelings about love and devotion for a sibling who stands for each other, thus completing each other. Bandhan story will depict the extraordinary relationship between a 6-years old little girl and the elephant calf whom she considers to be her younger brother. It was shot extensively in the Dalma jungle where Darpan Karlik (played by Ananya Agarwal) along with her father, Mahesh Karlik (played by Aditya Redij) and mother, Prabha Karlik (played by Shweta Munshi) dwell in a picturesque house with a river on the side.

Darpan is an innocent and animal-friendly little girl. She is expecting for her little brother and when they were driving on their way to the hospital, she and her mother fall into the pit. An elephant hears them and rescue the two. As she is praying to Lord Ganesha to grant her wish to have a brother, the elephant that saved them gave birth to a baby elephant and dies later on. Mahesh saw what happened to the mother elephant. Meanwhile, Darpan’s baby brother was born dead, which makes her very sad and upset to the Gannu Sahab. The baby elephant also misses her mother and refused to eat any food.

The elephant managed to flee from the shed and as Darpan folds her hands in the tree, the baby elephant suddenly appeared. She was stunned seeing the baby elephant and tries to touch it. Her father always told her that, her brother is like Gannu Sahab and seeing the elephant makes her feel very happy and realized that her brother was there. Though her parents were both worried seeing her as she referred the elephant as her baby brother, Darpan and the elephant have bonded so much and they named it as Ganesh.

This is where the story started.
