The show aired on weekdays at 8:00 pm. Bun Maska is a show about the modern-day romance. The show was developed keeping in mind the today’s youth. The show is set around how the youngsters’ struggle to find someone they like and their quest for true love. The show revolves around Soumitra, played by Shivraj Waichal and Maitreyee, played by Shivani Rangole. Soumitra is a doctor who practices homeopathy. He is a person who has sorted out his life and has a clear plan as to what he wants to achieve.

However, Maitreyee, a voice-over artist, is the polar opposite of Soumitra. She is a free spirit who doesn’t have a fixed plan and lives life as it comes. She lives in the moment and likes to experience everything the world has to offer. She is also a stubborn girl and once she likes or enjoys something she sticks to it and completely engrosses herself in it. Soumitra and Maitreyee find themselves in a relationship despite how different their approaches are towards life.

Their relationship is a perfect one with both of them in love with each other. However, the trouble starts when Maitreyee visits a meditation camp, and during the course, she decided to forgo materialistic life and live life like a saint. This comes as a shock to Soumitra who is distraught at the sight of losing his love, Maitreyee. Maitreyee finds Soumitra in distraught and consults her grandmother. On her advice, she decides to find a girlfriend for Soumitra before leaving him forever.

The show explores how their relationship changes as Maitreyee tries to find another girl for her boyfriend. The show showcases a quirky love story that is different than the run-of-the-mill stories that run on television these days. The show suits well with the modern times where the definitions of love and relationships are changing and is a breath of fresh air on the television.
