The storyline of the series revolves around the protagonist, Vinod. Vinod a normal Punjabi guy, marries Sonu, a Gujarati girl. The concept is based on how every guy faces problems in understanding what a woman wants. Vinod is an ideal husband.

He tries to do everything to make his wife happy. But one way or the other, he fails. He doesn't fail because of his ways of impressing his wife, rather because women, in general, are too tough to understand. The show tries to depict what the men go through, to make their ladies happy and satisfied. In one of the scenes, Vinod buys a kite shop to give the best birthday present to his wife Sony. Even though they have been married for almost two years, Vinod fails to understand what Sonu wants. He once brought a mixer-grinder for Sonu, who in the show, has never entered the kitchen. This programme depicts different situations in Vinod’s life and his efforts to make Sonu happy in a hilarious way.

There are some clichés in the Show, for example, a Punjabi is synonymous to “Chole Bathure” and a Gujarati to “Dhokla” and “Garba”. One day, Vinod experiences a divine intervention. He achieves power to think and understand a woman and her needs. The Show becomes interesting because Vinod now understands Sonu's feelings and choices. Har Mard Ka Dard airs on Life OK Channel. Life OK is an Indian Television Channel broadcasted in Hindi. It is a part of Star India. The Channel premiered on the Indian Televisions on 18th December 2011. Life OK launched in the US on 1st March 2012. The Channel was under the brand of Star One till 28th of May 2012. After that, it became Life OK Channel.
