Kangan, the name of serial means bangle. It is a type of jewellery that Indian women wear after marriage. This jewellery has a ritual connection with Indian mythology. The lead character Chandni was a beautiful and young girl. She had many expectations from her life. But her parents arranged her marriage with a middle-aged businessman Paritosh. She was aware of this marriage. When she came to know about the marriage she directly rejected the relation. This incident gave a shock to her family.  In the mean time, Paritosh falls in love with Chandni and wished to make her his wife. As his plan, he hired Himanshu to give a lesson to Chandni. Himanshu was a village boy with a good physique. When Paritosh thank that he already won the heart of Chandini, then the twisted came to the serial.

The producer Asha Parekh is a famous Bollywood actress. In 2002, she won the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. She was born on 2 October 1942 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India.  As a Woman centric serial, the Star Plus channel made the advertisement of the serial in ladies compartments of local trains in Mumbai. They tried to interact with the passengers and take their opinion about the serial.
