Piya Rangrezz is an Indian drama-based show that airs on the Life OK channel. It is mainly set in the lands of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The lead character of the show is Sher Singh. The story revolves around his journey from him becoming a ‘bad boy’ character, into a responsible and loving husband. Sher Singh was initially a believer of the patriarch system who later on changes his views to challenge the incorrect mentality adopted by his society. Coming from a place that is, unfortunately, less developed in terms of awareness and morality, Sher Singh realizes the wrongness of his opinions because of being brought up in a society that does not question the mainstream traditions of patriarchy. He realizes that he unconsciously accepted wrong opinions about the inferiority of women and the wrong facts about men being morally inferior if they overtly express their true feelings that they have for their lover to the society.

The story highlights the wrongness in a main moral issue about the nature of a male companion. He need not be weaker in any aspect just because he loves and cares for his companion. It also portrayed that if this positive energy is channeled rightly, it can lead to the man becoming a true, complete and wise man. Caring and having feelings towards one another does not make a man weaker in any sense, it only makes him stronger than a lot of people who do not realize and accept their faults.
