‘Sanrachna’ is basically a show of Indian architecture in Epic Channel. We all know that one of the most enduring achievements of Indian civilization is undoubtedly its architecture, which has pushed the limits of engineering and design, whether it is witnessed in strategically placed astronomy towers or awe-inspiring tombs.
The show focused on some great towers such as Rajasthan’s Hawa Mahal and Chand Baori, which has designed cooling systems based on natural principles that cooled the massive structures. Another episode had defined Hyderabad’s Golconda Fort and Gol Gumbaz that highlighted the acoustic systems in place. One more episode had featured South Indian cave temple at Mahabalipuram or even the monuments at Ajanta-Ellora.
The show which focused on Hawa Mahal and Chand Baori of Rajasthan mentioned that without using the mechanized cooling system, architects had found out a way to outsmart nature. These towers provide a cooling system by natural means, and the passive cooling system comes up as a solution.
This cooling system allows zero energy consumption while trying to improve the indoor thermal comfort.
