Angry Appa Hindi tv-shows on UTV BINDASS

This is a parody segment which aired on UTV Bindass, a Hindi entertainment channel. It was launched on 24th September 2007 under UTV Software Communications. The chairman of the channel is Zarine Mehta. The channel is exclusively directed to the interests of the new generation. The age group for which the content is churned is below 25. ‘ Appa Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ stands for ‘father’ and the word angry perfectly describes his mood, most of the time. This is a pure creative segment where the footage of approximately 1 minute 16 seconds is utilized again and again, but with a different agenda. The footage is a father of 40’s, and a son of 20's are where both are arguing about an edgy which has root in the main problem faced by teenagers.

The dialogues of the video are of a Tamil language, India being a country of various language, mostly people are unable to figure out the topic of discussion, so subtitles produced with every action and reaction. Every other time a new content brought out with a result which one could relate to with the people around. It is known the father-son relationship is not a subtle one. But breaking the orthodox about being the love life or the plans of the child, this segment presents the relationship as more of a friendly talk between siblings. Arguments are the main part of it followed by a hype reaction from the father. The credit goes to the dialogue writer, having limited sources regarding footage and the dialogues.

The new subtitles and the way the conversation carried leading to the same reaction of father storming out of the room. After some time everybody gets used to the real footage but the USP, subtitles are something which everyone looks upon. Mostly the bizarre news about something absurd in the society or the infactuous norms are held for trial here along with a touch of real human nature. From the arguments point of view sometimes, the father acts like a child and the child as vice-versa.

Apart from television the segment is available on internet platforms and is easily found. This is a good concept with an aim to cool things down between tense relationships we have with our old man. This attempt ought to done more often, and the new ideas should keep on rolling which truly makes the show for the young India.
