‘Dance India Dance Season -2’ was telecast on Zee TV. It was the same show as its previous season. It was also an equivalent show Zee Bangla Dance Reality show (Dance Bangla Dance) aired in Kolkata channel. Auditions were taken, and 18 participants were selected in mega auditions from different metro cities who had to perform solo, group and due dance numbers.
However, on the TV show ‘Dance Indian Dance Season-2’, each selected contestants had to showcase various Indian and international dance styles such as classical, Jazz, Salsa, Samba, Bollywood and other contemporary dance forms to emerge as the winner. Every week there was elimination rounds, but the final winner was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50 lakhs and other awards and even crowned with title ‘India’s best dancer’.
