Supernatural thrillers have always been one of the most watched and most loved TV serial genres worldwide. Mix it up with romance with a good storyline and you have the perfect recipe for a hit show. From Twilight to Hatim, the creativity of story writers of this genre has always left breathless and wanting for more. Adding one to the group, Star Plus has come up with their new romantic supernatural thriller Koi LautKeAaya Hai. Produced by Sphere Origins, the production house of Sunjoy W. and ComallSunjoy W., the show’s first episode aired on 25 February 2017.

With brilliant star cast including ShoaibIbrahim (as Abhimanyu), SurbhiJyoti(as Geetanjali), SharadKelkar(as Rishab) and Shaleen Malhotra(as Rajveer Malhotra) in lead roles, the show is based in Rajasthan, India and revolves around the story of a young widow as she tries to uncover the truth behind her husband’s unclear death. The show is a series of 52 episodes and follows the story of Geetanjali, fondly called Geetu, and nicknamed ‘Gaura’ by her husband Abhimanyu, who is an Army Captain. Geetanjali belongs to a royal family in Rajasthan and is in love with Abhimanyu. But her family, especially her blind brother, Rishab is vehemently opposed to her marriage with him.

However, against all odds, she gets married to Abhimanyu, which upsets her elder brother. Unfortunately, her post-wedding bliss is short lived when Abhimanyu’s car meets an accident. Unable to find his body, the authorities finally declare him dead but even after repeated attempts of Geetanjali’s family to convince her of Abhimanyu death, she refuses to accept it. Six years later, with her whole life before her, and considering the fact that she is neither widowed nor married, her stepmother and elder brother decide that she should move on and marry Rajveer Malhotra, her childhood friend, in hope that with him by her side she will finally be able to move on.

However, Geetanjali is still convinced that Abhimanyu is around her as she occasionally hears his voice and sees him in her dreams. Soon these hallucinations turn into actual paranormal events and Geetanjali decides to figure what is really happening. For this reason, she decides to go back to the place where Abhimanyu once saved her, hoping to find some answers. There she meets a boy named Priyam who claims to be Abhimanyu. At first, she refuses to believe Priyam, but eventually, his actions and words manage to convince her.

After meeting the boy’s parents and finding that he was born on the same day Abhimanyu died, she requests the boy’s parents to stay with her family in their house for a few days. What is the reason for these strange turn of events? Is Abhimanyu trying to warn Gaura of some danger?
