It is the story of two people in a relationship. Ayesha and Moiz who have decided to marry against the wishes of Moiz’s mother. Due to financial troubles after this big decision, Moiz has to go out, leaving his wife and daughter Noor in the house, with her mother-in-law and a friend Jawad. The complications arise as Jawad starts to have feelings for Ayesha and Moiz falling in love with Anila. Every plot twist wonderfully describes the husband-wife, mother-daughter, girlfriend-boyfriend and in law relationships so perfectly.. Noor the daughter is the ideal ‘brat’ in the story, the story states how both of them face struggles in their lives only to learn how to value each other. The mother-in-law brings about a little spice to the plot.

The plot ending shows us how what we sow is what we reap, beautifully described with events leading up to show how both of our stars come back together and try to raise their kids. This is one of the better ones in the world, with well-written narration, powerful emotions, and strong acting, it is not just up to the mark it’s better than the rest. With some decent cinematography, soothing piano based soundtracks and soulful performances this TV Series tops the bar. Some of the shooting done in Europe is breathtaking. The genre being family drama it highlights the dramatic portion quite a bit. A&B Productions released twenty episodes.

Qaid-e-Tanhai is a must watch because it is the quintessential Urdu-language television program. Savera Nadeem, Umera Ahmed and Neelam Munir have all respectively won national awards for their contribution to this production.

Qaid-e-Tanhai means solitary confinement and that is the fundamental emotion portrayed through the serial. It says how we bottle up all our feelings and express it to the wrong people at the wrong time, eventually leading to the problems in life. This cycle keeps repeating till we reach a state of just keeping to ourselves, and that is actually when we realize what life is.
