This animation film, having the concept of the Doraemon Manga series and created by Ryuichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki created a new wave in the history of animated show. Already a big hit in Japan, it even conquered the Americans. “Stand by Me Doraemon,” has been a massive hit among fans. It rehashed the character’s origin story and most popular adventures of Doraemon.
It was premiered even at the Tokyo International Film Festival on 24 October 2014. The basic plot is revolved around Doraemon, who is a time-traveling robot cat from the 22nd century. Doraemon, the robot cat, is ranked as the all-time most popular comic book character (manga series) among Japanese kids.
The robot cat is instantly identified with his bubble head and huge half-moon smile. The plot is a complete story- how Doraemon came to Nobita’s house and finally Doraemon bidding farewell to Nobita. This animated series even won the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year at the 38th Japan Academy Prize.
