Hindi Tv Show V Fest

The V Fest is the largest college-level talent hunt in India; it is held in Goa. This year the event was held on the 13th and 14th of February. This year there has been a larger buzz around the event because an official spokesperson of Channel V said that it would be held twice in a year.In the first half of the year, winners would be decided in multiple categories, while in the second half of the year they would tour the country on behalf of the Fest to encourage the growth of pop and rock culture in the country. A talent hunt is a humongous event with an extremely large number of participants (numbering in tens of thousands).

The event this year was jam packed with people and hosted mind- bogglingly a large number of celebrity performances, day 1 of the Fest had performances by DJ Suketu, Bollywood Actor’/Singer Ayushmannn Khurana, and the rock band Underground Authority. People turned out in droves to see their favorite stars performing, and channel sources placed the first day and night turnouts at 13,000 and 21,000 respectively.

The Channel started an eight-episode weekly series on the basis of this Fest, naming it the ‘V Fest Show’. The show included the highlights of the events held at the fest, including a two-and-a-half-hour finale. The principle sponsor for the event this year was Microsoft, while other sponsors included Parle and Ponds’ Men. The event was co-hosted with Radio 93.5 FM as the radio partner. Channel V was able to rope in over a 1000 college ambassadors for the Fest in various colleges in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.

The show has managed to expand its outreach tremendously even as compared to its last edition, over 10,00 people attended the Pune Zonal as compared to the meager 800 people who participated in it in the previous edition. The marketing expenses of this edition alone exceeded ₨ 5 Crores. The channel also took the social media by storm in its endeavor to make the V Fest of this year bigger and better than ever. The channel also announced this year that the biannual event would take place in Goa every year.
