World Chart Express is a TV show which used to be aired on MTV around the world. The serial mainly features the top ten songs which are trending around the world at the moment. The songs on the show can be from any part of the world and of any language. Most of the time it's the English songs which occupy the top ten places of the chart. It is because most of the world doesn't understand regional language songs, and with English being spoken all around the globe, it is reasonable to understand that English songs are popular in the world.

MTV World Music Chart was originally started in The United States. MTV has a huge presence over there, and this show still continues to be aired weekly in the States. MTV brought this show to India. It does have its own television channel in the country. They formed a partnership with Tata Sky and started airing their show. It took five weeks for the show to get wrapped up and not be aired ever again.

It might be due to a time when Indians were not much familiar with the songs that were played all around the world. Most of the times it is difficult for the songs to be replaced. It shows the current position of the song in the charts, and it also shows what its position was last week on the charts. It being a weekly show, is mostly telecasted on Sundays. However, during the week there is a repeat telecast of World Chart Express everyday.
