Youth Express is an interactive Hindi chat session that airs on DD national channel which is the pilot channel of oldest public service broadcasting corporation, Doordarshan. All seven days of the week at 5:00pm show is aired. The youth of country is said to be the future of it. And the youth in India is a very major part of its population. It is face of our culture and civilizationbut it is also the face of multiple troubles and issues that are faced by them in the recent times.

Be it social issues, health issues or mental issues, the more advanced our youth is, the more complicated their life gets. And very rarely these issues are talked about. Youth Express is one such show where these problems are addressed. Youth Express is an interactive chat show where not only these youth issues are discussed but also every possible solution is provided which could help everyone to overcome their troubles. The show takes place in a studio where an anchor moderates the show.

A set of young people are invited on the show with relevance to the problem that is about to be discussed. For, e.g., for education related issues, school or college students are invited along with some parents who would directly relate to the problem. These people sit on one side of the hall and the across the hall sits the experts who have been invited to talk about the issue. These people are eminent personalities from different walks of life. Having life experience and exposure in some way or the other to these problems.

Certain episodes have one expert while others havemore than one expert. . At first anchor gives a brief about the issue that is to be discussed in the episode and then he talks to the audience about what they have understood of the issue and how this affect them. Then the anchor asks the expert’s their take on the topic.

The show continues as a series of interactive conversations between the expert and the audience. Some of the episodes have experts like Parveen Malhotra who is a career counsellor, Mayank Shekhar, who is a writer as well as a young entrepreneur, Rituraj Gupta who is an academic counsellor and vocational training specialist, Dr. Krishnakanth Shukla who is a healthcare expert, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev who is a mystic, a yogi and founder of Isha Foundation, etc., who talk about different youth issues like health hazards and holistic, addiction to the internet, career and role of internships for youth, etc.
