The Kannada serial Avanu Mathe Shravani is a very touching story. It is about two people who come together, due to their mutual love for a little girl. The serial has three main protagonists Shravani, Surya and the little girl Deeksha. Surya is a Kannadiga Gowda in a very typical fashion. He is extremely rich and successful. He has single-handedly built his entire business empire with sheer hard work and dedication.
He lives a very active lifestyle of parties and business meetings all day long. He is also a single father to Deeksha. He is a workaholic who keeps his life busy and is always involved with office work, which leads him to neglect his daughter. He worked hard and earned himself an empire but fails to take care of his daughter properly due to lack of time and a busy schedule even though he loves her a lot. Shravani, on the other hand, is a very simple Tamilian girl. She is a general physician who is extremely good at her job. She also uses her career as a doctor to rebuild her life and keep herself busy.
She is a very devoted, responsible and caring daughter and has equally loving parents. Shravani has a very soft corner for children and is the type of person who has been known to go out of her way to help a child in distress. Both Surya and Shravani love Deeksha and come together for her needs.
