Indian viewers have always been mesmerized by food. It’s one thing that binds the whole of India together while also dividing the population based on their choice of food or ingredient. Murali Military Hotel is a show designed rather unconventionally by the network but has received all the love it can get. The show invites chefs from the countryside and military and asks them to cook their mouth-watering delicacies that are famous at their eateries. The show often indulges in non-vegetarian delicacies.
Murali Military Hotel airs on Zee Kannada and is hosted by the very popular Rajanna Muralidhar who has hosted tons of shows in Kannada with Oggarrane Dabbi, which again is a cookery show, being the most popular of the lot. That show made Rajanna a household name in Kannada and he received a lot of praise for the show. It also aired on Zee Kannada in 2012. The success of this show made the network confident in launching Murali Military Hotel with Muralidhar as the host.
The show airs on the channel at 1 pm, every Saturday. Muralidhar’s fans had some respite after the show ended when he launched his set of five cookbooks containing recipes from all the cookery shows he has hosted. The book has sold a total of 3.5 lakhs copies which is a huge number in itself.
