Kannada Tv Show Shreekara

“Shreekara” is a Kannada religious TV show. The show aired for two seasons on Star Suvarna with season 1 consisting of 40 episodes and season 2, 25 episodes. The first season was aired from 28 September 2015 to 12 November 2015. The second season was aired from 13 November 2015 to 11 December 2015. Shri Devi Shree Guruji who specialises in astrology and palmistry hosts the show. Guruji enlightens the viewers about their horoscopes. He discusses the importance of religious values for a peaceful, balanced life. Guruji addresses different problems in each episode to find solutions for the troubles that viewers may have. He talks about problems concerning marriage, money, one’s future, health, education, relationships, work, suicides, etc. He also shares his knowledge about daily horoscopes.

During the two seasons, Guruji acquaints the viewers with Pithru Dosha, Sarpa Dosha, Drishti Dosha, Arishta Dosha and discusses the causes and remedies for same. In several episodes, Guruji enlightens the viewers about deities including Goddess Skanda Mata, Goddess Kushmanda Devi, Goddess Amruthalakshmi, Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Durga, Goddess Saraswathi, Goddess Anjana Devi, Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara, Shani Bhagwan and instructs about how to worship these deities and the importance of worshipping them. On the occasion of festivals, Guruji shares his knowledge about festivals such as Deepavali, Navratri, Dasara, Ayudha Puja and Vykunta Chaturdashi, and the rituals that need to be performed on these occasions. Guruji also makes a visit to the temples around the holy mountain of Anjanadri and Garuda Devalaya in order to take the viewers on a visual pilgrimage. Guruji also enlightens the viewers about the Hemachala Lakshminarasimha Swami temple and Narasimha Swamy Sugganahalli temple and their specialities.

In the show, Guruji widely discusses the importance of values and ethics, such as daana, from a religious point of view. He also addresses the problems associated with anger and how to deal with them. Guruji also sheds light on the significance of colours of one’s attire in determining his or her behaviour. Guruji also gives tips to students for sharpening their mind. He addresses the problems that students face in their studies. Guruji also talks about the end of Kaliyug or the age of vice. Guruji enlightens the viewers about rituals that will help fulfil their wishes and lead them to a good life. He also acquaints the viewers with how they can attract luck.
