Bharya (Sanskrit: Wife) is a Malayalam language Indian Soap Opera, which premier on 16th May 2016 on Asianet Channel. The show telecasts every Monday to Saturday at 9 pm and again telecast at 3 pm. The serial is based on the novel Bharya published in the Malayalam Weekly Journal.

The plot of the serial revolves around a family residing in Vrindavanam. Prof. Vishwanathan Menon and Jayaprabha couples have two children Nandan and Rohini. They lead a content and happy life. Rohini gets marriage four years back with Sarath in Vrindavanam, and they have a daughter. Suddenly Sarath disappears, and the missing puzzle is still mysterious. Anyhow, Rohini having hope and waiting for his return is settled with her in-laws. Her brother Nandan falls in love with Nayana. She is from another village, and her family is antisocial. Nayana has a brother Narendran who is a notorious rowdy. Nandan marries Nayana without his parent's permission and takes her with him to Vrindavanam. However, the family accepts the daughter- in-law with love. Vrindavanam does not have the knowledge of these people. They started to conspire now. Narendran who has a strong sexual desire for Rohini initially acts like a humble person. Rohini comes to know the real intention of him. To protect herself, she decided to marry Jose who is trustworthy of the Vrindavanam.

Slowly Nayana started the disruption in the family. In the beginning, everyone in the family is unknown to every terrible happening, but later they come to know the reason is all because of the daughter in law. They are shocked.All these facts are unknown to Nandan. Nayana mesmerizes Nandan with her feminine charms, and she blinded him. How Nandan’s family comes out of the cruel act of their daughter in law? Will the Nandan family outcome all foxship and catastrophe is the further part of the story.
