The story starts with Shivanya and Shesha, her cousin wanting to take revenge for Shivanya’s parents’ murder. They were Icchadhari Naagins. There were five murderers among which Shivanya was able to see only three who were Shailesh, Viren, and Ankush. They killed Shivanya’s parents while trying to gain Naagmani. For the revenge, Shivanya enters Ankush’s house in the form of a maiden. Ritik is Ankush’s son who is a very kind-hearted, young, and joyful person. He starts loving Shivanya who marries him after finding out about his feelings for her as a part of revenge.

She kills Viren who is the first murderer and Shailesh who is the third murderer. Later, she, with the help of Shesha, also kills Suri who is Ankush’s friend as Shesha tells her that he is the fourth murderer. Later, Shivanya realizes that Ritik is a very nice person and he is totally unaware of his father’s evil doings and starts loving Ritik which comes as a disappointment to Shesha who believes that now Shivanya would be unable to kill Ankush due to her love for Ritik. Later, a twist comes where it is revealed that Ritik is actually the fraternal nephew of Yamini who is Ankush’s wife and the fifth murderer. They have kidnapped the real father of Ritik as only he and Ritik can touch Naagmani because of some symbol on their bodies.

Shesha also starts loving Ritik due to his caring and loving nature, but she doesn’t let her love affect her actions. But her feelings are used by Yamini who, after coming to know the reality of Shesha and Shivanya, manipulates Shesha in betraying Shivanya, and she is successful when Shesha becomes Shivanya’s enemy because of her obsession for Naagmani and Ritik. Shivanya is successful in killing Ankush but Ritik witness that and learns about Shivanya being a serpent which results in him simultaneously hating and loving her. But after he learns the truth about Yamini, he joins Shivanya in protecting Naagmani from Avantika. Ritik and Shivanya consummate their marriage which results in Shivanya losing all her powers but still they are able to save Naagmani, killing Yamini. Mahishmatis send Shesha to jail. The show ends with Shivanya being pregnant.
