Sabarimala Sreedharmasastha is a religious show that is telecasted on one of the earliest, the most-watched and very popular ‘Malayalam’ channel, ‘Asianet’. It is an entertainment channel with the head office in ‘Trivandrum’, ‘Kerala’. ‘Asianet’ is a broadcasting channel owned by ‘Star India’ and is also the privately owned ‘Malayalam’ channel in ‘Malayalam’. Sabarimala Sreedharmasastha is a devotional show that revolves around the ‘Sabarimala pilgrimage center’ in ‘Kerala’. ‘Sabarimala’ is one of the largest ‘Hindu’ pilgrimages in the world. The temple at ‘Sabarimala’ is of ‘Ayyappan’, who is also known as ‘Dharmasastha’. ‘Sabarimala’ has the most prominent ‘Ayyappan’ shrine in all over the world. This temple is situated amidst 18 hills. These hills are surrounded by dense forest from all sides. This dense forest is the ‘Periyar Tiger Resort’, also called as ‘Poongavanam’. Since then, ‘Manikandan’ is considered as an avatar of ‘Ayyappan’. The show Sabarimala Sreedharmasatha features the temple of ‘Ayyappan’ and the pilgrimage held in the temple. It gives a visual tour of the place and the festival. The gala pilgrimage of 41 days, including the rituals, the long aaratis held in the temple premises, millions of people paying homage to the God, etc. Everything about the pilgrim center is shown in the show in absolute details. This makes the audience feel like they are also part of the pilgrim.
