Sundari is a Malayalam family drama series which is about a middle-class girl named Gadha and her family. This serial has been broadcasted on ‘Mazhavil Manorama’ at 7 PM (IST). This serial has been produced under the banner of Dev Communications. ‘Sundari’ is a story about a girl Sundarikutty Gadha who is the eldest among the three daughters of Chandran a private bus driver and Kalpana. She had two younger sisters named Sudha and Nidhi. Gadha and her family lived in the beautiful village named Manjadikunnu.

Gadha earned love and respect from the members of her village because of her good nature and was beloved one for everyone. They were all happy. Chandran decided to get his second daughter Sudha married. Everything goes well in their family until there was a sudden storm in the form of an accident in which Chandran becomes physically impaired and thus loses his job. A woman named Stella and her brother Baiju create a mess in Sudha’s engagement. Unable to tolerate this shame Gadha’s mother Kalpana commits suicide. Stella throws out Gadha from her house. Meanwhile, a guy named Rakesh decides to marry Gadha. Gadha lives in their house and takes care of Rakesh’s mother. All arrangements were being made for their marriage, suddenly at that time Rakesh’s wife comes there and stops the marriage.

After all these incidents Gadha finds her father dead on the road due to some accident. After losing both her parents, Gadha works as a bus conductor and earns for her family. During her job she passes through many hardships and even gets jailed for some situations. Some goons kidnap her and after some fight sequences and all the clashes Gadha is badly hurt and becomes unconscious. Some tribal people find her in the forest and give some treatment to her; soon she recovers but at the same time loses her memory. Later she is taken care of by a woman named Susana. Meanwhile a look alike of Gadha named Annie enters into Gadha’s family accidentally.

Gadha’s family member assume her to be Gadha and take care of her. One fine day Gadha’s sister gives Annie a diary in which she finds the life story of Gadha. Now Annie decides to find about Gadha and unite her with her family. Annie is none another than the daughter of Sussana who took care of Gadha assuming her to be her daughter Annie. The rest of the story is about how Gadha unites with her family and they start living happily after that. This serial was picturised in some of the most beautiful locations in Kerala and was among one of the top serials telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama. This serial shows the real life scenarios of middle-class family people and tough times they face during their life in the society.
