Aarpoo Erro Malayalam TV SHOWS on Kairali TV

Aarpo Erro was a special program that aired on Athmeeyayathra Television. The show was a one-off special produced for the special occasion of Onam. The show was an entertainment program, originally broadcasted in 2016, that featured the host interacting with students. . The show was a special feature for the festival of Onam. Onam is a traditional Hindu festival among the Hindu followers and Malayali speakers in Kerala. The festival has numerous legends attached to it from Hindu mythology, but most importantly it signals the rice harvest in Kerala.

The festivities last for few days and involve many traditional activities – boat races, women’s dance, folk songs, and dance and martial arts. Despite being a Hindu festival, the festival is marked as a cultural festival among Non-Hindus, and they actively take part in it. Aarpo Erro was produced with the collaboration of Believers Church Caarmel Engineering College. Since the show was of the reality genre, the college provided the students as the participants and the premises as the venue to shoot the show.

The show featured the people from the Caarmel Engineering College as participants on the show. Along with the host, the students took part in festivities in the college. The show conducted numerous activities for the students to enjoy and have fun. Along with the traditional festivities, the students also enjoyed several games and fun activities. The students featured wore traditional clothes– Saree for women and Lungi and a Shirt for men. The show started off with a traditional performance before starting the activities.

The activities involved were a mix of both – modern and traditional. The students first played a game where they had to mark a spot correctly blindfolded. Next, students enjoyed the game which was a variation on the musical chairs. Then, the students participated in a pillow fight and numerous games. The students who won these games stood a chance to win prizes from the show. Atthe end, the program signed off with a traditional game of Tug Of War, where two teams pull a rope and try to drag the other team over a line.

Both men and women participated in this game with their peers cheering them on. On the occasion of Onam, the show brought out the festive spirit among the students as well as the viewers. The viewers were able to enjoy some traditional Onam festivities and some fun games.
