Malayalam Tv Show Q Matrix

Q- Matrix show was launched on 5th July 2010 and broadcasted on Amrita TV for the time slot of 1:30 pm (IST), every Monday to Thursday. The show created history in the Malayalam television by using virtual technology for the first time on TV. Q- Matrix was a game show where the contestants can try their luck and in return can win gold coins. The period of the show was for an hour per episode, which was divided into the different rounds of five minutes. It was a live phone call and Golden Puzzle show where a contestant can call on the show, in the given time frame of five minutes, the contestant has to solve the video or TV puzzle and then he/she can win Gold coins.

The show was all about uncovering and identifying a popular personality step by step, whose image has been hidden in the form of matrix patterned blocks. The blocks were arranged in a rectangular grid in rows and were numbered sequentially between, ‘0 to 99’. The concept of the show was that in the beginning, the Matrix is shown on the screen, the anchor gives some scratch idea about the personality, and on that basis viewers can call. The first participant is given the period of five minutes; he/she can choose to remove any five blocks of the matrix in order to see a fraction of the personality’s face.

If the first participant can recognize the image in the given time, he/she wins the golden jackpot, but if the contestant fails in doing so, the chance has to be left off, and then another viewer can participate. If none of the participants from the first period (the first five minutes round) can recognize the image, then the matrix is passed on to the second period’s first contestant. With each round, the first contestant has the right of unveiling five blocks to have more glance of the image and to win gold.

The X-factor of the show was that the contestants can win gold at any point of time; like after the third or fourth period, it’s not that hard to identify the personality, and if the contestants succeed, there is a chance to win gold. During the show, a total of ten Gold coins are there for the participants to win, 9 for the identification of the personality and one for the answer of the SMS question, which is posted at the end of every episode. So, any person with the combination of luck and a good command over memory can participate and get the Golden Bonanza!
