Super dancer is a reality dance show which has been aired on Amrita TV. It was one of the favourite serial, of its time. People used to like watching it because they used to see so much talent in dancing that too at one place. Amrita TV promoted the show to great heights so that the serial got so much TRP that it made it to the most watched show on television. There were many sponsors who sponsored the show. Various people came to give auditions for the show but only some of them were selected.

The trials were held in India and as well as in abroad also. The participants of the show included some people from different countries also. There were persons who performed solo, duet and in the group. They tried various dance styles like salsa, hip-hop etc. which also made the selectors dance to their tunes. The show was aired at 7 pm every Monday to Thursday on the channel. After the Super Dance Junior was telecasted, Amrita TV also launched a reality show named Let's Dance for all the male and female dancers who are aged between 18 and 30 years. In the super dancer, all the contestants have been guided by the renowned dancers from the film industry in South.

The show also features a variety of Indian and international dance styles such as salsa and musical theatre. The main aim is to find that one dancer who is really good in it and it is not a hobby for him but his passion lies in it. The format of the reality show included that every time one contestant would be eliminated and in the end, three finalists would then compete each other for the title. The finale of the reality show was held on 19 January 2013 at 7 pm and it was aired live on Amrita TV. Thus it is taken to be as one of the famous and most popular dance reality shows in the country. The chief motive of the show is to find the person who’s dancing skills can shake the entire industry. Thus it was very popular in Kerala and it was Amrita TV that made the show to success due to the efforts they put in through their promotions. Thus this dancing show was a big hit and therefore the channel renewed it for its next season. The winners were rewarded with good prize amount and could also get a chance to work in the industry. Thus it could be considered as an experience worth in life.
