Super star 3 is a Malayalam music reality show. It is a talent show which was aired in 2010 on Amrita TV. It was the third season of the reality serial which was organised by Amrita TV. It was based on the music talent in children. The series was the kind of its kind in Malayalam language which aimed in finding out the singing talents in pre-teen children. The first season was held in 2007 and was a big hit. The show used to air at 8 PM from Monday to Thursday on the channel, Amrita TV. The age group to participate in the show was 10-14 years.

The auditions of the serial were done across the various locations in Kerala and also the outskirts from 25 February 2010 to 4 March 2010. The serial was hurled with intense trials done and selecting a few contestants from hundreds of applications. The show ran for around six months in which it showed various competitions kept to enhance the singing skills of the children. The grand finale showed the performances of many famous singers and actresses. There was a dance performance done by artists Roma and Archana. They tried to create that special effect and add an exceptional charm to the show which made them to the limelight of the show. The other contestants of the show also sang various songs to entertain the audience. The first winner RinuRazak got 5 lakh rupees, the second winner of the show Lekshmi Pradeep won 3 lakh rupees and the third Malini got 2 lakh rupees respectively.

The sponsors of the serial include of Josco Jewellers and thus the name was changed to Josco Jewellers Super Star 3. Thus the format of the show was to eliminate one participant in each episode. The aim was to find the most talented and upcoming singer in the industry. Thus it was liked a lot by the audience and was much appreciated.
