Story revolves around a place called Navalur, the story is about the life of a college student, Seetha Ranganathan (Seetha’s father) is a careless man who wastes his money gambling, he is also an alcoholic. His wife Rukmani manages the family, she works as an assistant in a school and she works as a cook as well.  Rukmani is from the Zamindar family, she alienated from her brother Namasivayam, a rich Zamindar of Navaloor. Rukmani’s children Seetha, Vijaya and Raghu do not know that their mother is from a Zamindar family. Rukmani has a dishonourable secret in the past.  In the meantime “Zamindar” Namasivayam his wife Anandhi with their daughter Anjali are living together happily. Similar to his sister, Namasivayam also have a secret of his past The rest of the story is about how what is the secret these siblings are hiding and how both the families joined together.  RV Ramesh Raj directed the serial and Vimala Ramanan produced it.
