Balachander and Vedam K. Kannan. It was produced by K. Balachander's production house named Minbimbamgal Pictures. The Story revolves around the lives of a joint family and their emotions and fears of facing separation due to cruel situations. In this story, a character named Nellai Appan owns a departmental store called 'Nellaiappan and sons', which he runs with the help of his two sons the roles of which were played by the actors Akash and Shyam Ganesh.

The character named Gandhimathi, played by the actress Kuyili, is his wife whom he highly respects and loves a lot. The first sales of the day in his store is usually done by his wife. Gandhimathi is more of an emotional person and she always prioritizes only second to human values. They get both sons happily married. But trouble soon arrives in their peaceful household, when the wife of their second son starts to taunt them. . The story portrays how the challenges of life affect the family and how they stand united in every difficult situation.
