The story of this serial involves a conservative Tamil family trapped in the circle of uncertain situations. A son of this family who was staying in the West was coming back to his home. With his arrival, there comes a conflict between the present-day social changes and the traditional value systems of the family. The serial showcases how the current social changes which were fairly universal becomes a tough choice for the society of  1970s – 80s as the society back then, was not used to such changes. The show reveals how these changes which are not digestible to the society, impact the life of this Tamil family.
