Niram Maratha Pookal is a triangle love story between the lead characters. Venmathi is a village girl who has had a crush on her school friend Ram since they were teenagers. Ram went to the city and fell in love with a modern and fashionable woman called Keerthy. When Ram arrives at the village for holidays, he is forced to marry Venmathi. He succumbs to family pressured and marries her, but she never told Ram about her undying love for him. When Ram takes her to the city, she learns that Ram is already in love with another woman. Venmathi receives no love from her husband and turns into a servant for him. Torn between the two women in his life, Ram finds it difficult to choose between them.
