Sathileelavathi is a mega serial aired on Kalaignar TV. The popularity of the show increased with the introduction of narration of each episode’s synopsis through a poem. This poem is narrated at the beginning of each episode. The narration is done by S Jeyalatchamy, who is also the producer of the show. S Jeyalatchamy heads the production house of Saffron Creations. Sathileelavathi is the second serial produced by Saffron Creations after the tremendous success of their first serial, Azhagana Makkal. Azhagana Makkal was also aired on Kalaignar TV.

The director of the show is KV Sakthi and the camera is handled by RK Vikraman. The mega serial initially was aired between 1 PM to 1:30 PM. After 75 episodes, owing to popularity and demand, the timings were revised from 6 PM to 6:30 PM in the evening.
