Sembaruthi is currently airing on Zee Tamil from Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM onwards, where recently it extended till Saturday. The show gained much popularity on Zee Tamil and topped on the TRP chart. Sembaruthi is remade into Malayalam as ‘Chembarathi’, which airs on Zee Keralam.

The storyline of Sembaruthi revolves around a wealthy woman Akhilandeshwari where her son Adhitya (Karthik Raj) falls in love with Parvathy (Shabana Shajahan). What makes the Serial story outstanding is the intense and passionate love chemistry between Adhitya and Parvathy.

The poor girl Parvathy is a maid in Akhilandeshwari’s house. Meanwhile, Akhilandeshwari is a strong-willed and stubborn lady who wants perfection in everything. The major twist comes in the storyline when Adhitya marries Parvathy without his mother Akhilandeshwari’s knowledge. Parvathy’s father, Sundaram worked as a driver for 25 years in Akhilandeshwari’s family. He is very loyal to Akhilandeshwari and is unaware of Parvathy’s love affair with Adhitya. Only Adhitya’s father, Purushothaman, Akhilandeshwari’s husband, supports their marital relationship, hiding the truth from Akhilandeshwari. Adithya and Parvathy face turmoil in their married life due to the evil woman Vanaja, the main antagonist in the serial.

Vanaja is Akhilandeshwari’s co-sister and has intense hate and agony for Akhilandeshwari. Vanaja is evil and cunning; she plans to split the family and bring shame to Akhilandeshwari. But again and again, Parvathy turns savior to Akhilandeshwari and her family’s dignity. But in the couple’s passionate love story, the biggest enemy is Adhitya’s ex-fiance Nandhini. Earlier, when Adithya gets engaged to Nandhini, Akhilandeshwari breaks the engagement after finding out Nandhini’s evil truth, and Adhitya also never liked her. Nandhini seeks revenge on Akhilandeshwari and her family for what they did to her and how badly they humiliated her. Nandhini goes cunning when she joins hands with Vanaja to ruin Akhilandeshwari and her family. But amid these crafty villains, Adithya and Parvathy stay strong to fight back for their love and win Akhilandeshwari’s blessings.
