Siva Ragasiyam is a Tamil television series. The show is based on certain Hindu mythological chapters. The telecasting of this soap opera took place on every weekday, from Monday all the way through to Friday, at 10:00 p.m., on the channel Zee Tamil. The show went on for a total number of one hundred and fifty episodes, starting from 8 September in 2014 to 16 April, the next year. The direction of the show was looked after by B. Nithiyanantham. Each episode was framed to be about twenty minutes in length.

The main star of the show was Ajay, who played the role of Vijayan, along with Shamili, Nanthini, Sairam, and Isvar. The tale of this serial is the lore of an imaginary village with the name of Boomikaathanpatti. It is a wonder village, where the likes of science, faith, and belief, all remain in harmony. There is a temple situated amidst the temple which imparts its magic and wonder. This temple is called the Rasamaneeswarar temple. It was built by the Siddhars and the rituals as a result prevailed under their guidance. The biggest and most important puja that was organized in this temple was Siddha Yaaga Puja.

This ceremony was held on every full moon day. The rules and laws of the village went on something like this that nobody was allowed to purchase any immovable property or begin construction on the village's land unless they were born in this village. This had been followed for generations. Another rule was that the villagers must seek their blessings and pray only at the Rasamaneeswarar temple, or else they were spirituality punished. One day, a man walks into this village thinking of constructing a sugar factory on the lands of this village. His name is Vijayan, and he is a realist who doesn’t believe in all this spiritual and theological gibberish.

As this is the tradition, he is denied permission to construct anything in the village. As to know the main reason behind the rejection, he attempts to penetrate the Siddha secrets. As he begins to dig out many age old secrets of the Siddhas, bad things begin to happen to the villagers. Although Siddha’s are very helpful and supernaturally powerful, the story goes into series of supernatural incidents regarding Indian supernatural experiences, such as teleportation, levitation, and so on. The numerous adventures and mysteries that are inculcated with the Siddha’s temple and their age-old secrets from the moulds of this serial.
