There are rounds of auditions to select the best. To be the part of the show, 10,000 people talented and enthusiastic took part in the audition rounds. The auditions took place in different cities, including Madurai, Trichy, Tanjore, Chennai, and Coimbatore districts. Out of all the contestants that showcased their talents, 60 were selected. The selected 60, will appear on Kalakka Povathu Yaaru 4 which will be aired from 25th January’2008. The program will be telecasted every Friday at 10:00 pm. The show will bring you amazingly talented people and will give you a lot of comedy content to laugh at and feel relaxed and light.

The winner of the show will win a cash prize of Rs. Five Lakhs. The winner will not only take away the winning amount but also get an opportunity to host one of the shows on Vijaya TV and can also be featured in a film. The talented performers will either perform mimicries, stand-up comedy and variety of comedy acts. The show has eminent jury members. The panel of judges includes Uma Riyaz and actor Pandiyarajan. Ramya and Sethu are the hosts for the season 4. The show is a platform for the talented comedians to showcase their talents and get proper guidance, and grooming.
