Marmam is a Tamil TV serial which airs on Vasanth TV. It is a show which tends to explain the things which are not explained by everybody. Paranormal activities are such which are not experienced by everybody. Everyone is excited about it. There are a lot of movies based on it, and also there are a lot of books, which are bestsellers in its category. Despite all its popularity, nobody would want to experience it and everybody would want to stay as far as possible. The show airs on Mondays at 9:00 PM on Vasanth TV. It has a runtime of forty-three minutes.

The host starts the show by explaining a new topic every episode. You can think of the show as something similar to Ghostbusters. There is a team which explores various corners of the country in search of the spookiest place to shoot their show. The history about the chosen place is shown. Other things such as the people who lived there, their fate, and the number of years since it has remained vacant, are all shown during the show. You can also think of them as paranormal investigators.

The people call them because they fear that a ghost might be residing there. There shoot takes place in villages and not cities, probably because people in cities are aware that such things does not exist and they won't be fooled easily. They don't enter the premises in daylight, but rather at night, which gives it a scary factor. The team consists of two or three people. There is the main host, the cameraman, and person providing the lights. If there is a place where there is a suspicion of strange activities taking place, you can expect it to be in a lonely place which has been cut out of civilization. Due to production issues, the show limits itself to Tamil Nadu.

After they have checked the premises, they don't find anything other than historical artifacts, and nobody knows whether it has a historical importance or not. In the end, there is nothing to worry about as there was nothing, to begin with, and if there was, it had been carefully taken care of. The host shows a sigh of relief and maintains his poker face. It is a horror which had an odd timing of being aired on Mondays instead of Thursdays or Fridays. The show hasn't quite gotten along well with the audience, and it has received low ratings.
