Mastana Mastana is a dance reality show in the Tamil language that airs on the channel, Sun TV. Sun TV is one of the most widely viewed Tamil channels which is owned by the Sun TV Network. Later on, the show was re-telecasted on the channel, Saregama Tamil. Saregama Tamil is owned by the most popular and the largest music company in India, Saregama Music. The company also ventured into digital and online content, and Saregama Tamil was one of its pioneer ventures in this arena. The show, Mastana Mastana had two successful seasons.

The first season of the show was premiered in the year 2007. The show was aired on weekends. Each episode of the show had a runtime of 30 minutes. Mastana Mastana Season One show gives a platform to couples around the TamilNadu state to showcase their talent in dancing. A lot of people, who love the art of dancing, have a fantasy of dancing with their partners but do not get a chance to do so in their regular routine lives. This show makes this dream come true for the common man.

People can come with their partners in the show and do audition to be a part of the show. The show does audition of hundreds of talented couples, out of which the best couples are pushed through into the main show. These dancers train under the best choreographers and immensely talented dancers to get ready for their performances on stage. The choreographers set different routines every week for these contestants. The contestants perform these routines in front of the panel of judges every week. The judges then evaluate their performances.

The judges not only give them scores but also give their valuable feedbacks which acts as guidance for these contestants. They improve on their performances each week. At the end of every week, the least impressive performers get eliminated. Through a series of such eliminations, the show reaches their finalists. One of these finalists is declared as the winners of the show in the grand finale episode.

The Season One of the show was anchored by Supriya and Kannan. The season was judged by Meena and one of the ace dance masters of the Tamil film industry. There are various special celebrity judges throughout the show. Some of the contestants of season one were Lingesh and Suhasini, Kamlesh and Devipriya, Arvind and Sarika, etc
