Nijam is a news-based program that is telecasted on Sun TV. It airs at 10 pm from Monday to Friday. The show opens with the anchor standing in front of a backdrop highlighting the issue. He gives a brief description of it and lists the controversies surrounding it. Then he dives further into the details. He gives a voice over for the images and videos that are displayed, which concern the respective issue at hand.
Most of the time a reporter is present at a location that has witnessed the given event and describes it with a cameraman aiding him in the presentation. The reporter also interviews locals to find out their opinions. Some of the controversies highlighted in the show are: legalizing rape;Â temples, religion and the superstitions around them; ghosts lingering around us; adventures of mankind; festivals and social taboo; secluded places which are said to be cursed.
The show has received good ratings from the public, who show interest in the show out of their curiosity to know about the things which no one ever talks about.
