The first episode of the show aired on 27th April 2014. In the first episode one team of two students from four schools participated and Nandini and, Vinaya Jyothi from Anbalaya Higher Secondary School made it to the advance level. In episode 2 Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Girls Higher Secondary School made it to the advance level. In the next episode The Bharathi Vidhya Bhavan School advanced to the next level. In episode 4 Shri B S Mootha Secondary School made it to the advance level. Similarily in each episode one team from certain schools advanced to the next level.

On 5th October Oru Latcham Juniors had its first Quarter Final Round One in which The Vellalar Matric and S.B.O.A teams qualified for the next level. In round two held on 12th October Savriti Vidyasala and, Chinmaya Vidhalaya qualified for the next level. On 19th October the teams played the Semi Final Round One in which The Vellalar Matric team qualified for the final round. On 26th October in the Semi Final Round Two S.B.O.A School and, Chinmaya Vidyalaya qualified for the final round.

The finals happened on 3rd November. The show gave the students a huge platform to gain information, victory, and fame and take a prestigious trophy home. The students from different schools got a major chance of making themselves, their teachers and, their parents proud. The audience, especially the school going children, loved watching this reality game TV show. The show served all the purposes of being informative and entertaining. Oru Latcham Juniors was a one hour running show.
