Ungal Theerpu is a TV programme that was hosted by TV anchor Divyadharshini Neelakandan. She is also popularly known as DD ( her alphabetical recognition) for various programs that she had hosted in television channels. When she was just 13 years old, she hosted the show Ungal Theerpu and became popular. This program ‘Ungal Theerpu’ was aired on Star Vijay in the year 1999. This was her first program to go in the television serial.
Later on, she had anchored many more TV shows successfully on Star Vijay. People liked this show just because of her. The show became memorable amongst viewers because of her narration and beautiful smile and casual way of presentation. After Ungal Theerpu, there was no looking back for the anchor. She created a milestone in various TV shows and even went to become a prominent actress in movies. Her dignity and TV personal was observed in her first show itself.
