Anr Award 2014 Telugu tv-serials on Maa TV

ANR National Award is given annually to Indian film personalities for their contributions to the world of cinema. It was instituted by Akkineni International foundation by the actor himself in 2005 to honor those who contributed to the film industry. Amitabh Bachchan was the eighth award recipient recognized for his contribution to the Indian cinema. It may be noted that ANR National Award honors people whose work has been exemplary and the embodiment of a commitment to advancing cinema business and ethics. Family members of Akkineni Nageswara Raoi.e., his son Nagarjuna and his daughter Nagasusheela were also present on the occasion. The festival opened up with a dance by actress Shobana who also happens to be a great classical dancer . Plus, a special dance was choreographed for fifty children to perform on the song of ANR's last film “Manam”.

The dance by those children was, in fact, a tribute to the legendwho left a void in Indian cinema. It was ANR's dream that this award should continue even after his demise and hence this award presentation is still followed. In addition, 19 young students who had passed from the Annapurna International School of Film & Media with distinction received their degrees from the hands of Amitabh Bachchan. Bachchan gave a lengthy speech remembering ANR’s contribution to Indian cinema. He also lauded the Telugu film industry that makes a maximum number of movies. He felt this award should set an example and stand as an inspiration to our film fraternity.
